KINDA IN LOVE

i have fallen in love with my surroundings again
i've taken in the people around me,
squeezing them into my heart, making it throb with adoration

i have people tell me that i need to get out, explore before i set my roots down
that i shouldn't accept the place that i've been placed

but i disagree. and in fact, i have traveled and i do cherish new and far places
despite that, i am certain. this is home for me. my small town with small town people
i kinda like places where you can smile and recognize everyone in the store

i guess i believe in love at first sight

WE HOLD ON TOO LONG

i wonder if perhaps some dreams are given but are meant to be given up.
as if the dream was only meant to carry us so far, instead of us holding onto it forever.
